Okay, so I think I have made it well known that I have a lot of opinions that I am always willing to give, despite no one giving a shit. So, I thought I should give a bit of a rundown of some of my favourite K-pop artists. Now, this is highly likely to change as I get fixated on things really easy, so ya know, don't hold me to any of this, ever.
This is gonna be in no particular order because:
1) That would be some tough calls.
2) Someone would get offended somewhere along the line, and I can't be bothered to deal with someone getting annoyed cause I don't love their 'Oppa' as much as I like someone else's music or voice.
3) I just don't wanna, and it's my blog post so HA!
So, I have previously mentioned that I do hold a special place in my heart for BTS. Now before you go rolling your eyes, it's because not only have I got over my stigma and now enjoy the talent and effort they put into their work. It is also about the fact that they are using their platform to direct people to tell people important messages. Their UNICEF speech (I say 'their', but it was mainly RM although I have no doubt in my mind that the rest of these guys have put their two pence worth in too) was them using the 'power' and popularity for something that truly matters. That's something that some people in spotlights don't do, and I applaud these men- cause that's what they are, not babies- for doing something that can have an impact on those who struggle.

NCT is up there with the best of them in my opinion, and I think that this is highly down to not only their music which provides everything from a hoe anthem to something that sounds like it belongs in a montage but also the diversity and personalities within the group. I am aware that diversity is something that will arise when you have an unlimited boundary to the number of members, but it's not just diverse in the sense that multiple nationalities. The type of people and type of talent focus is diverse, so with NCT, you will be able to find a member that you can look at and relate to in some way.

Next up is the focus of my previous review, Stray Kids. Now these boys and their music are something that I was able to connect with as soon as I gave it a proper listen. At first, I knew that I liked Voices and Hellevator as my housemates played them, but I just considered them bops. Then out of nowhere I started to listen to more, and more, and then I learnt the members, and I started to see what they were like (at least through the screen and through their interactions with fans) and all of a sudden I wanted to go to their concerts and I wanted to be badly screaming the Korean and mumble rapping Changbin's parts (cause fucking hell he raps fast) with the entirety of their fan base. I have never really considered myself a fan of anything, ever and no offence meant, but fandom names have a tendency to make me cringe, but I would be willing to call myself a Stay if prompted.

Blackpink is next on my list and is basically one of the only girl groups I am going to count here, not to say I don't like other girl groups, BUT BlackPink's DDU-DU DDU-DU was the first K-pop song I listened to, EVER , so these four girls were my first dip into the dark side. I think what cemented my love for them was seeing them live as their performance, and stage presence left nothing to be desired, they fucking smashed it, and they will continue to in the future as they have the talent and a brilliant relationship with their fans and each other. Holding back a rant on YG here as I clench and unclench my hands in front of my keyboard so that I will put it like this: given the opportunity to thrive they will, and they will continue to develop into an amazing band that will spread across the world more than they have already.

Finally, a band that has climbed my obsession list recently is ATEEZ. This is the rookie group that has taken so many by storm, especially with their song Wave. Now, I really started to get into this group when they were doing the dark, grungy concept as it spoke to my ex-emo, grungy, industrial soul. Everything from their dance to the rap to the way they can pull off their concepts and different genres. I really like them although I can't quite put my finger on why. They really do have a presence and their recent impact and emergence onto the K-pop scene is something that I think has been done really well without this band being turned into a song making machine. From KQ Fellas to ATEEZ, they are continuing to grow, and I am excited to see what's next.

So, because this hella long here are a few that I am not fully obsessed with but are well on the road to that destination.
- DAY6 (Although I would count them as a band I am obsessed with I have written less for uni essays so...)
- Monsta X
- Seventeen
- (G)I-DLE
- Red Velvet
-Mamamoo (Cause damn, just damn.)
- GOT7
-KARD
And let's be honest too many more to count, but I hope you enjoyed this insight into some of my favourites. If you don't know them, check them out, you might love them too.
PS. You want GIFs for this list Google them, that's where I found them.😊
