The project seemed daunting but ultimately exciting. To be chosen out of so many and to be paid to write.

The meetings came and so did the nerves. What was I getting myself into? Would I be able to write this as well as keep up with all my uni work? Would we do well?

Then came the planning. The project is unlike anything we have ever done before. We didn't know where to even start. We fumbled and changed our minds. I questioned if I could do this.

A talk with a housemate and 3 hours later we had a starting point. It began to feel possible.

The story line and the puzzles built up but I keep finding plot holes and things wrong with it. I would be kept up at night overthinking things.

We visited the location and was met by disgruntled men who didn't like the idea of us using their space who had a million questions I scrambled to try and answer.

We kept working at it.

I suffered a mental break, the project was the source of all my stress and anxieties.

Talks with two tutors and a writer, along with around five hours of solid work and we were renewed. Full of ideas and excited to write yet again.

More plot holes found and solutions made. An overwhelming to do list and a closer deadline.

Productive and organised - for two days.

The anxiety and doubt is back.

This is how the project works.

The stress will not end until it is done and over with. We don't give up even when it seems impossible. Even when we are exhausted.

Because we've come this far.

Because the finish line is in sight.

Because at the end of this we will have written The Project, the likes of which would never have existed if it weren't for us.

Whether we like the end result or not, we will have created something to the absolute best of our abilities.

And that,

is something to be proud of.
