So, I thought because I have done my favourite songs and videos, I should probably do my favourite choreography’s. Some of these songs I’m not a big fan of, however, I appreciate their choreography, so that’s why they are here. Most of these choreo's will have a few moments in them that I find really satisfying to watch, I will put a few GIFS at the bottom of the page for you so you understand what I mean. As well as this, I like choreos that try something different. So, I shall stop talking now and get to the point sksksks. In no particular order here are my favourite choreography's at the moment:
1) MONSTA X - Beautiful
2) BLACKPINK - Kill This Love
3) Jennie (BLACKPINK) – Solo
4) BTS – DNA
5) NCT 2018 – Black on Black
6) TWICE – Fancy
7) BTS – Fake Love
8) BLACKPINK – Don’t Know What To Do
9) GOT7 – Eclipse
10) Stray Kids – Hellevator
11) Ten (NCT and now in WayV) – Dream In A Dream
12) BLACKPINK – Playing With Fire
13) A.C.E – Undercover
14) Seventeen – Getting Closer
15) LOONA – Butterfly
MONSTA X - Beautiful
So, the reason why this is here, is mainly because of the ending where they use their jackets as props. I think this is great concept that should be involved in more choreo's. The ending is satisfying to watch as they gradually all throw their jackets aside in unison pairs.
or you can watch their dance practice video 😊 you can see the bit I described above better in the dance practice.
BLACKPINK - Kill This Love
The parts that stand out to me most in this choreo are how they work in pairs a lot throughout it, as well as the ending sequence. The ending of the choreo flows well but at the same time it's also quite rapid.
Jennie (BLACKPINK) – Solo
Even though this choreo looks quite simple (I still can’t do the dance…), there are a lot of hand movements. It’s mainly in my list for the dancing in the beat break at the end. Personally, I think that the dancing goes really well with the beat of the song, as well as it flowing nicely.
BTS – DNA
The part where 2 of the members slide along the floor together in time with the music is something I always remember about this choreo. I also like the part where they all join hands and make a wave with them (shown in the cover picture of the video). I can’t fully describe what they do, so maybe you should watch it 😉.
NCT 2018 – Black on Black
Other than this being a great dance (like most K-Pop choreos), the parts that I like the most are when they all flip, and it spreads to the back of the room. As well as when they all lift their bodies off the floor (GIF at the top of the page).
TWICE – Fancy
So, what stands out to me most in this video is how in sync they are with each other (even their hair flips are in sync with each other). I don’t really like a lot of TWICE songs, but I must say they are really good dancers. To be honest, this song has really grown on me, and now I love it. The chorus dance flows well, and there are satisfying moments though out the video, so go and watch them in the video below.
BTS – Fake Love
What makes this choreo one of my favourites is the stop-go dance moves in the chorus. As well as this, the beginning part of the dance is satisfying to watch. I like a lot of these kind of dance moves (they are my favourite as you can probably tell by watching all the videos I have selected sksksksk).
BLACKPINK – Don’t Know What To Do
My favourite part of this dance is when Jennie is singing before the last chorus, this is because it includes lots of satisfying dance moves. For me (one who can’t dance to save her life), I feel this is one of their harder dances to copy because of all the intricate leg/hand movements that are involved in the choreo.
GOT7 – Eclipse
This choreography has lots of satisfying dance moves throughout it, but the one that I love is the dance move in the chorus involving them moving their arms to create a line (GIF at bottom of page). I am so bad explaining things, but please bear with me and watch the videos for them, I am sure it will make much more sense sksksk.
Stray Kids – Hellevator
I really like the choreo for Hellevator, the dance fits really well with the song. The choreo has a mixture of aggressive and soft dance moves, which goes with the softer verses and then the aggressive raps and chorus. The beginning of the dance is my favourite. The one thing I love about stray kids choreography's, is that they tap or hit their bodies in beat with the music (for example, when stomping their feet). I know other groups do this, but I think stray kids are exceptionally great at doing so.
Ten (NCT and now in Way V) – Dream In A Dream
This chorography really stands out to me as it such an interesting but beautiful choreo, that is satisfying to watch all the way through. Not much to say about this one as the whole thing is my favourite so…. moving on.
BLACKPINK – Playing With Fire
(Yes another BLACKPINK one, sorry not sorry)
My favourite part of this choreo is when they say, ‘on and on and on’, they all come out from behind each other (GIF at the bottom). As well as, the bit before the beat break at the end when they each slowly join in on the dance moves. Again, it’s really satisfying to me.
A.C.E – Undercover
I love this choreo a lot, it’s a very aggressive dance, which fits the type of song it is. One of my favourite parts from this is during the last chorus where they are lifting their legs up gradually (GIF at the bottom of the page). I also really like the beginning of the dance as well.
Seventeen – Getting Closer
This choreo is here because of the satisfying moments in it, as well as how in time they are for such a big group and the speed of the dance. My favourite part appears when you hear ‘boom' x 9 (this is better than me trying to explain the dance move to you sksksk, go see it for yourself).
LOONA – Butterfly
So, I think my housemates will be surprised by this selection because, I am not a fan of the song. However, this is about choreography and not the song. I have recently seen that LOONA are great dancers from watching a few of their dance practices and covers. Anyways, there are a few moments in this that are really pleasing to the eye (the main one is around 47 seconds into the video).
I am well aware people have opinions on this, but it was very hard for me to pick a few to talk about and show to you; there are so many I love that I could probably swap some of these around quite easily with others. The K-Pop industry is made up of excellent dancers and I am amazed every time I see them dance. There are a lot more videos that I love but I chose these today to show the dance moves that I love and see in most K-Pop videos. I hope you enjoy watching all the videos, thank you for reading!
(I am sorry if you now hate the word 'satisfying' after reading it about 200 times in this blog)
