NCT 127 'Highway to Heaven' review.

The black and white art piece that is the NEO CITY tour MV for 'Highway to Heaven' is breathtaking. I would go as far as to say it is one of my favourite music videos of all time.

The song itself is my favourite from their mini album 'We are Superhuman.' Thinking about it, it might even be one of my favourite NCT 127 songs full stop. It really highlights the band's vocal talents and creates the perfect summer mood.

The lyrics for the original song are much more PG compared to the english version. I'm not sure if this is down to what is expected of more 'westernised' lyrics or just a matter of making the english lyrics fit the song. I do know however, from behind the scenes videos, that a lot of the guide tracks for NCT's music are in english and then translated into Korean. I'm not saying this is the case for this song as I don't have that information its just speculation.

Either way I enjoy both versions of the song equally. I like that the same song can work so well with both sentiments.

The MV for the english version of Highway to Heaven is just as beautiful if not even more so in my opinion. I fell in love with the video the moment I saw it. It contains everything that I love from NCT videos, it has the visuals and stunning cinematography, interesting editing, choreography and my favourite; clips of them having fun together (not unlike the clips that can be found in their self filmed music videos.)

I am hoping with every bone in my body that SM will continue to make these type of music videos for all of the NCT units because.they. are. S t u n n i n g.

If SM's goal with this video was to portray heaven; they nailed it.
